The Carol Gollob Foundation for Breast Cancer Research is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to educating people about breast cancer and to funding research for its detection, prevention, and cure. Currently, over two million women in the United States have been diagnosed with breast cancer and in 1999 44,000 died.
Since 1992, through its annual charity tennis events, the foundation has raised more than $400,000; recipients have included Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Evanston Hospital, and the University of Chicago Hospitals.
